Supplier Management

At last, ITIL has grabbed the supplier firmly by the horns and dragged them out of the hidden corners of other processes and has given then a section in their own right. As soon as the provision of IT services moves out of your hands (and I am sure even with a simple service model you still have suppliers for telephony, your internet to name but a few?), a focus on the supplier, its cost and their contractual obligation soon make you pay attention. At least on this occasion you get to be the customer!
